Today was a perfect day for HSC with a light south westerly F2-3 and bright and

warm conditions. Unfortunately not too many members were able to take advantage

on this Bank Holiday weekend due to competing commitments and the Merlin Open

at Minima.

However, David, Phill and Claude set forth on the E I course to do battle. Phill's

reduced rig and single handedness was designed to give a close race with David but

this was scuppered by Phill's visit to the surrey bank for a bit of tree pruning. Best

laid plans .! David was the winner.

After a fine lunch provided by Dorothy for the duty officers!! the gathering was joined

by ex-Commodore team Ian and Susie in their Enterprise and present Commodore

Sarah doing helping out all round taking over from Hannah and Mark who visited in

the morning.

The afternoon racing combined starts and courses to rationalise proceedings and

provided a first place in each Class.

Ellie's tea was magnificent and after advertising on WhatsApp we were delighted to

welcome Hilary and Margaret to join us for tea.
