Sail Chat - 17th November
Cracking sailing day with a 12 to 14 mph steady wind from the west, south west, with some sunshine and, at times, the crew up on the side. Sensible up and down course set by veterans of the club John Bell and Kevin. Participating were, with a welcome return of Derek and Mary and John Hollands with Sue. They raced closely to the windward mark but John had to re-wind himself there but still managed a competitive race.
Stuart and Nicola and Hywell with Lucy Penwarden had a close contest, the former going better on the beats and the latter on the run.
Comets were down this week missing a Buvet sail, with David and James in competition. David pronounced that his rig and himself were improving. No other Handicaps out.
Really close race between Ian and Alex and me with Sarah in the Enterprises. It was definitely one of the most enjoyable sails of the season.
After the sailing we enjoyed the usual fare produced by Susie and Lucy York, Time was by Sarah and Dierdre.
Looks like a hooligan next Sunday so should be fun! Do come along to sail, watch, mange or just drink and chat.
