A sunny hot day with a forecast of 6 mph ENE and strong 24 mph gusts!

Only 3 boats for the morning handicap, a Versa, a GP and the Aero. The wind forecast was deceptive,

with sustained gusts causing a few spills for the Aero.

Attendance for the afternoon races was not much better given it was the end of Salcombe week and

summer holidays for many of the regulars. With a single start for just 3 Comets, initially there was as

close battle between Tim (317) and James (209), but an ever-increasing lead culminated in a well-

deserved win for James with Ian in the Club Comet (293), coming a distant third and last.
