Sunday 19th November was sunny, about 4 degrees and there was a very light wind indeed from the north west which wriggled about a bit.
We sailed either up to D or E mark, not far from Thorneycroft Island and down to I off the Church Lawn; it was a leisurely affair all round. After about 20 minutes the wind did get a little more sprightly, allowing for spinnakers below.
Good showing again from the premiers, who are beginning to re-establish this credential! Out were Stuart with Deirdre, Hywel with Lucy, John with Mike, James and Ben, Rob with Jo and John with Timmy. No doubt the excellent crewing gave Stu a win!
Only three Enterprises Jane and Sophie, Ian and Brian and Ra with me. Fear of our AGM perchance.
The GP’s had Derek with Sue (again!) Keith and Susan, Malky with David Sammons and Kevin with Maddie in Red and some silver Rampage. David and Nigel did battle in the Solo fleet.
Very fine food fare from Livvy and Sophie and a lively well attended Enterprise AGM, with thanks to Michaela for taking the minutes.
Dinner and Do next Saturday – when avid watchers of Strictly will be closely watched that they deliver by those that sit and suffer! No names but I know who you are?
Sailing and Club AGM next Sunday when we say farewell to our terrific Commodordorable partnership.
